On February 10, USIP hosted a discussion with Iraq’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein during his first visit to the United States since assuming his role under the new government. The conversation looked at the current situation and challenges in Iraq 20 years into its journey to democracy, especially strengthening governance, developing the economy, combating climate change and countering the remaining threat of ISIS.
